The Wenatchee Wild finished their three-game homestand against the Penticton Vees on Saturday, January 29. The Wild fought hard but were unable to overcome a 3-0 deficit, losing the game 4-2.
Guns & Hoses Night is my most involved photo shooting night for the Wild because of the multiple activities surrounding the game. In addition to the team's game, I first shoot the annual Guns & Hoses game featuring local first responders. Next, there are lots of activities happening in the concourse before the game and during intermissions. Then, during the first intermission, I catch the annual Guns & Hoses tug-of-war contest, which is always a blast. Finally, after the game, the Wild hold their fundraiser auction, so I take plenty of candids during the auction, plus posed shots of the jersey winners along with their respective players. Because there are so many photos from this event, I'm breaking it into three blog posts: this one for the actual game, concourse activities and fan photos, one for the Guns & Hoses game and intermission tug-of-war, and one for the auction. Like these pictures? In the spirit of the Wenatchee Wild hockey community, I have decided that instead of charging for game photos though a photo sales site like I have in the past, I want to make all my Wild Hockey Photos freely available to everyone! I only ask that you keep my business watermark visible in the photos and tag Digital Media Northwest in social media posts. If you need original, full-resolution photos without watermarks, or need a photo for commercial purposes or publication, please contact me directly using this contact form. |
